Summer Planning Google Map
Mar 31st, 2008 by alyoung
With April upon us, it is only a few months until school is out. It only seemed liked yesterday Marcus started kindergarten, and now a school year is almost over. Soon, it will be time to plan the kid’s summer activities. The summer activities catalogs are starting to come out and soon it will be spread all over the table with our calenders as we plan the summer. We all know summers are not cheap, but with some planning we can keep our kids occupied during the summer months without breaking the bank too much.
As a service to my readers particularly the stay at home Moms who will be stuck with bored kids in the house if they don’t find any activities to keep them busy, I have created a Google map/guide of summer activities for the kids.
Click on the button below for a Google map of suggested summer activities in the Bay Area that your kids may enjoy. It is from my experience with my kids ages 4 and 5, but I think any children from 3 to 7 would enjoy these activities.
How to use:
Click on the each balloon to get more information about the attraction. There is some general information and a link to the website for more information. From the balloon, you can zoom in to get a more detailed map of the area. You can resize the map from the controls on the left to make it easier to read. Click on the directions tab to get driving directions to the attraction. You can also click on information on each attraction under map locations on the right side.
Some activities are free and others have a daily or membership fee. Go to the website for more information on prices. Please give me your feedback and suggestions on summer activities for children. I will be updating this map with your ideas as we get closer to summer.
