2007 Blogging Year in Review
Dec 27th, 2007 by alyoung
As we close on the year 2007, and get ready for 2008, its a good time to reflect on the past year. Time goes fast, and before you know it a year has passed. As we get older, it seems harder to remember events and places. Its all one big blur. Even pictures don’t help that much. We have thousands of pictures, but not all are dated and categorized. You remember some things, and not so sure of other events. That is where having a blog helps. If you have a blog and update it regularly, you have your memories on the net forever. Pictures and events as you viewed them at the time. Its like a time capsule that is constantly evolving. Here are some old posts to remember the events of 2007.
- January: The highlight was a family trip to San Diego. The blog was not born yet.
- February: First Post of the new blog. The blogging journey begins.
- March: Random blogging, and the third annual Spring Training Trip
- April: Family vacation to Kauai
- May: Warriors make playoff run. We Believe. I grow a goatee to support the Warriors. Tips on traveling with kids.
- June: Summer Fun, and Rickroll’d. Rickroll’d is one of my most popular post, and still on the front page of Google.
- July: Another family vacation to Arizona and 100+ degrees heat. Rode a mechanical bull.
- August: Back to school, and a trip to Carmel
- September: More random blogging, and the start of the college football season.
- October: Fall activities and Halloween
- November: More random blogging and a visit to the Princess room. Experienced Black Friday.
- December: The first Young Christmas Newsletter, and a nice dinner to celebrate turning 41.
In a nutshell, that is our year captured by blogging. If you are considering starting blogging in 2008, I encourage you to do so. It is a great way to maintain an archive of important events in your life. Occasionally, you can also find and offer useful information. Stan also started blogging in 2007, and just celebrated his 100th post. If you need advice on how to start blogging, please feel free to ask me. I look forward to reading your blogs in 2008.
