More Free Money at Citibank

If you did not take advantage of the Citibank “free” money offer when I talked about it in the past, here is another opportunity to pocket an easy $100. You can get a $100 bonus for signing up for a new Citibank Ultimate Savings account. Remember, this offer is only for new Citibank customers. Unlike the Sharebuilder bonus offer, you can not get the bonus again if you have already done so. This offer expires on 8/31/07.
This offer has all the things I look for in a “free” money offer:
- Competitive interest rate: 4.75%
- FDIC insured
- Low or no minimum deposit requirement. No minimum requirement in this case
- No monthly fees
Hustlerama has another offer from Citibank that can get you $200. However, you have to do more to get the money. It does not meet all the criteria above. You have to deposit $1,500 into the account for 6 months, and do 2 bill payments a month for 6 months, or have direct deposit to get the full $200. That’s a bit too much effort for me since I am happy with my current bank, but if you are looking for a new bank, it might be worth your while to check it out.
